Starting from Wakering
Stairs taking you along the ancient Broomway to Havengore Creek where the
Thames Barges would take the short cut from the east coast on route to London.
From here we turn to a southerly direction and walk to the old Wreck lying on
the port side is now home to hundreds of marine life from little fish to
seaweeds mussel’s even oysters.
From here you can see
across the estuary to Kent where once hundreds of sailing and steam boats bound
for London full of supplies. But today just 1 ship would now be carrying
perhaps 1000’s cargos.
We then return to Wakering
A walk of about 3 miles lasting
